Targeted Anti-Cancer Research Peptide | Selective p53 Pathway Activator | For Research Use Only
PNC-27 is a synthetic peptide engineered to bind and selectively destroy cancer cells by targeting the HDM-2 (human double minute-2) protein, which is often overexpressed in tumour cells. By mimicking part of the tumour suppressor protein p53, PNC-27 is designed to penetrate cancer cell membranes and induce membrane lysis, without affecting healthy cells.
It is currently under preclinical investigation for its potential in oncology, tumour imaging, and apoptosis pathway studies.
Selective Cytotoxicity – Targets tumour cells via HDM-2 recognition
Derived from p53 Activation Domain – Mimics native tumour suppressor response
Induces Cell Membrane Pore Formation – Causes cancer cell lysis
Minimal Effect on Healthy Cells – Low observed toxicity in non-tumour tissues (in vitro)
Applications in Anti-Cancer, Apoptosis & Tumour Marker Research
